Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal lies in the northern part of the Ashanti Region, bordering Atebubu-Amantin Municipal (Brong Ahafo Region) to the north-west, Sekyere South Municipal to the south, Mampong Municipality to the east, and Offinso Municipality to the west.

Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal lies in the northern part of the Ashanti Region, bordering Atebubu-Amantin Municipal (Brong Ahafo Region) to the north-west, Sekyere South Municipal to the south, Mampong Municipality to the east, and Offinso Municipality to the west. It covers about 1,782.2 square kilometres, representing about 7.3 percent of the region's total land area. The 2010 Population and Housing Census recorded a total population of 85,446, which the plan projects to 88,224 in 2018 and 89,289 in 2021. The Municipality's economy is agrarian, with agriculture employing 60.2 percent of the economically active population, and its administrative capital is Ejura, about 109 kilometres north of Kumasi on the Kumasi-Atebubu highway.
